“We do what we say we will do".”
SAZON BRIEF:
“Part of our company culture is doing what we say we will do,” said John R. Tyson, chief sustainability officer for Tyson Foods in an interview with The Shelby Report last year referring to a pledge the company made 5 years ago in 2015 to raise 50 million dollars for hunger relief charities. Not only did Tyson Foods surpass this pledge in just 4 years with an astonishing additional 10 million dollars making it a total of 60 million for hunger relief aid. The company did not stop there, Tyson also decided to make an example out of this momentum in community inspiration by awarding 3 community heroes that have also made a significant difference in the name of community and charity with a dollar amount of $160,000 each to further their missions and continue making a difference.
